SPRINGS REQUIRE NO MACHINING ON VORTEC (062/906) HEADS WITH UP TO .55 0" NET LIFT
MY SPRING EMPLOYS 7 THINNER DIFFERENT "OVATE COILS" VS. THE 6 TRADATIONAL "ROUND COILS" USED ON OEM 1.250" (AND MOST AFTERMARKET SPRINGS). THIS .100" TALLER BUT THINNER COIL BEEHIVE SPRING DESIGN ALLOWS UP TO .550 NET LIFT (WITHOUT ANY HEAD MACHINING ON VORTEC (062/906) CASTINGS) WHILE STILL MEETING OR EXCEEDING OEM COIL BIND AND RETAINER TO VALVE SEAL CLEARANCE SPECIFICATIONS.
THE BEEHIVE DESIGN (SPRING COILS HAVING DIFFERENT DIAMETERS) ALSO ELIMINATES "HARMONIC STACKUP" FOUND WITH TRADITIONAL ROUND DESIGN (SAME DIAMETER SPRING COILS) AND TTHE REQUIREMENT OF AN INNER DAMPNER SPRING. THIS EXLCUSION OF THE INNER DAMPNER SPRING, ALLOWS DECREASED LOADS WHILE MAINTAINING VALVETRAIN STABILITY TO 7000RPM+. SPRING LOADS MATCHED IN HOUSE WITHIN 2% TO CAM CARDS OR CUSTOMER RPM REQUIREMENTS (NO ADDITIONAL COST).
ORIGIN:
Valve springs are manufactured using super clean chrome silicon (SCCS) in Kobe, Japan (only SCCS alloy source in the world). I used SCCS to eliminate any micro inclusions and voids often found in cheaper inferior tool steel spring material. These inclusions and voids after millions of cycles lead to cracks, valve spring coil failure, and often catastrophic engine failure (due to valve dropping and being hit by piston). My material source met my spring material specifications, and manafacture beehive valve springs that meet my print specifications incouding the tight load tolerances (2 sigma, +/-5%) across all compresed heights from 2.100" to 1.200". Once valve springs get to my small shop, they are colllated within 2% using my custom hand built load fixture with Ashcroft calibrated gauge. After springs are coiled to my design prints, springs are squared at the top and bottom coils which provides accurate for location in cylinder head valve spring spring pockets as well as precise retainer fit at the top of the spring. Once the springs are machined they are subjected to media blasting and then immediately painted or clear coated to prevent the "super clean"raw material from oxidizing. After manufacturing and load testing springs the they are shipped to my race shop for propritary hardening and micro load matching within 2%.
DROP IN PACKAGE SUPPORTS 7000RPM AND UP TO .550" NET LIFT:
Package include (8) load matched intakes springs and (8) load matched (color coated red) exhaust springs with loads to support 7000rpm with standard 1.94/1.50 SBC valves. My spring package provides valvetrain stability (no valve float) to 7000rpm (or higher if requested) while using significantly less loads than a typlical 1.250" single coil spring with dampner. Please include cam card
